River of Dreams Base Camp ("the Camp", "we") is a fly fishing base camp in the Aysén Region of Chilean Patagonia, operated from Coyhaique, Aysén Region, Chile (company registration details are available on request). These terms govern the use of riverofdreamsbasecamp.com (the "Site") and every enquiry or booking made through it, by WhatsApp or by email.
You may browse the Site and use its forms for genuine enquiries and bookings. You may not use automated tools to scrape, harvest contact details, submit forms or overload the Site, attempt to access non-public areas, or use the Site for any unlawful purpose. We may block traffic that behaves abusively. All texts, photographs, videos and logos belong to us or our licensors and may not be reused without written permission; you may share links to the Site freely.
Sending an enquiry through the Site does not create a reservation. We confirm availability by email or WhatsApp; a booking exists only when we have confirmed it in writing and the agreed deposit has been received. Rates are shown per person in US dollars, based on double occupancy, and may change until a booking is confirmed. Rates include what is listed on the Rates page and exclude international and domestic airfare, fishing equipment, travel insurance, extra activities and gratuities unless stated otherwise in your confirmation.
Deposit amounts, balance due dates, change and cancellation conditions are stated in each booking confirmation. Because the Camp is small (six anglers per week) and remote, cancellations affect us significantly; we therefore strongly recommend trip-cancellation and medical-evacuation insurance. Refunds, when applicable, are made through the original payment method.
The Camp is reached on horseback and located in a wilderness area without roads, telephone coverage or nearby medical facilities. Fishing, wading, boating, hiking, horseback riding and other outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including personal injury, death and loss of property, arising from water, weather, terrain, animals and remoteness. Our guides and staff do their best to keep you safe, but by booking you acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for your own health and fitness for the trip. Guests must follow the instructions of the guides at all times and comply with Chilean fishing regulations; catch-and-release practices apply.
You are responsible for valid passports, visas, vaccinations, flights to and from Balmaceda (BBA) and adequate travel insurance covering medical care, evacuation and cancellation. We recommend insurance that explicitly covers remote-area rescue.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to a trip or to the use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid us for the trip concerned. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by weather, river conditions, transport disruptions, authorities' decisions or other events beyond our reasonable control; in such cases we will offer alternative dates where possible. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law, including the consumer laws of your country of residence.
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these terms. You can exercise your privacy rights at any time through our Privacy rights form.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. We will try to resolve any complaint directly and in good faith; if that fails, the courts of Coyhaique, Chile, have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection or jurisdiction rules of your country of residence (including the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States).
We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your enquiry or booking, and the date of the last revision is shown above.
